Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Tampa Bay Ruskin FL 219pm EDT Sunday July 20 2025 Marine Issued at 217pm EDT Sunday July 20 2025 High pressure ridging across Florida and into the eastern gulf waters will produce light winds 10 knots or less, seas 2 feet or less and low rain and storm chances (20-30 percent) over the area today. Moisture increases on Monday with slightly higher rain chances expected. An upper low and troughing then moves across Florida and into the eastern gulf on Tuesday and Wednesday with even higher rain chances expected through the end of next week. Fire Weather Issued at 217pm EDT Sunday July 20 2025 Abundant moisture, low rain chances and light winds will continue for today. The only weather concern over the weekend will be extreme heat. Daytime highs will reach 92-97 degrees each day, with heat indices reaching the triple digits to around 110 degrees. Rain chances ramp up Monday and Tuesday as an upper low and trough move across Florida with a more wet pattern expected through much of next week.
